Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to all users of the FTACT app, including:

  • Managers – Create and manage teams, enter match data, and coordinate activities.
  • Parents/Fans – View fixtures, vote on awards, and upload media (photos, videos, interviews).
  • Players – Have their stats, awards, and imagery displayed as part of the platform.

The app may be used by individuals of any age, provided a parent or legal guardian gives consent where required.

What Data We Collect

    Match events (goals, assists, cards, subs, minutes played),
    Player stats,

    Uploaded images and videos (matches, interviews, etc.),
    Live-streamed match footage,
    Player profile pictures and team content

Legal Basis for Processing

Data is collected and processed under UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018 on the basis of:

Safeguarding and Use of Media

All media (photos, videos, streams) that include minors or identifiable individuals must be:

Managers are responsible for ensuring consent is in place before any content involving children is uploaded or streamed.

  • For essential communications (support, updates)

Your data is never sold to third parties. Media may be featured on the app or in marketing if appropriate consent has been granted.

Live Streaming and Match Replays

  • Streams are securely hosted on encrypted servers.
  • Only paying viewers (e.g. via £2.99 match pass or £29.99 season pass) can access content.
  • Replays are viewable only within the app post-match.
  • Footage is retained only as long as required and in line with data rights.

Data Security

  • Encrypted login and internal communications
  • Role-based access control (e.g. managers cannot view unrelated teams)
  • Secure UK/EU hosting with daily backups
  • Internal audits to prevent unauthorised access

Only approved FTACT team members have access to backend systems for development and support purposes.

Retention & Deletion

We store your data only as long as needed to provide services or meet legal obligations.

  • Personal information is erased
  • Historical match data may remain anonymously for statistical use
